We are officially in the second half of the Mae Young Classic. What was once 32 women has been narrowed down to the sweet sixteen. A pinfall or submission results in the loser going home in this single elimination tournament. Who will come out on top and be able to claim they won the inaugural Mae Young Classic on the WWE Network? Let’s get to it.
Contrary to the Cruiserweight Classic last summer, WWE and the WWE Network released the first four episodes on demand this Monday. These four episodes are all the qualifying rounds of the tournament. Check here for all the crash course style results, opinions, and comments for the first four episodes of the 2017 Mae Young Classic.
This Monday we will see the debut episode of The Mae Young Classic on the WWE Network. For those who are unfamiliar, WWE likes to have a tournament every summer showcasing some style of wrestling. Last year we saw a 32 man Crusierweight Tournament with TJ Perkins walking out as the newly crowned WWE Crusierweight Championship. Since that tournament, a lot of the guys, no matter how far they made it, have been a part of a new weekly show 205 Live. This summer we see 32 women from all over the world battle it out for their spot(s) in WWE history.
