Sunday was a memorable day for New England as Tom Brady eclipsed 187 victories, now the most for a starting quarterback in NFL history. Yet, there was only celebration when the clock actually hit 0, as once again the game was narrow until the last drive.
This past Thursday Tom Brady and the Patriots battled against Jameis Winston’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a short-week matchup. Going into the game from last week, the Patriots had issues in the secondary against the Carolina Panthers, which left many fans worried and questioning how the team could succeed this season. The Patriots did prevail this week in a 19-14 victory, which once again was decided by the final play for the third time in as many weeks.
Last Sunday brought dismay for folks in New England who support the Patriots. The team managed to keep it close until the last few moments, when Graham Gano hit a 48-yard field goal to close out the game with a win for the Panthers. The Patriots did a few things well, but overall looked sloppy on the field; a rare statement this well into the season. After a rough game against the Carolina Panthers, the Patriots will look to regroup quickly for a Thursday night matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
What a time to be alive. Fantasy is entering week 5 and players are now showing what they provide. It’s time to make those changes to the roster and get trading.
The NBA’s zero-tolerance policy when it comes to fighting has created the perception that basketball players are soft. Would you be wrong to say such a thing? For sure not. It’s no secret that the majority of today’s players are all bark and no bite. However, take the time to comb through a few rosters and you are bound to find some guys that may be better suited for the octagon than they are the hardwood. Below I’ve assembled the definitive All-NBA Fight Team that will always be ready to throw hands at the drop of a hat.
Liverpool played this morning at 730am EST. A game that if you did wake up for it, I am sorry. It was all going well for Liverpool away at the Etihad. We were looking good, having a solid performance for the majority of the first half. In the 37th minute Gini Wijnaldum put a forward ball towards the top of the penalty box for Mane to go get. Ederson, the City goalkeeper, ran out to play the ball away from Mane. Mane in his attempt to get the ball went in with a high boot and kicked Ederson in the face.
As the Patriots look to defend their title throughout the course of the season, the Chiefs are looking to get past the hump that they could call Divisional-Round exits. The Chiefs gameplan in the Andy Reid era has been consistent with ground-and-pound football; running the ball often and having wide receiver routes primarily as a second option. In the Andy Reid era, there has only been one 1,000 yard-receiving years from a Chiefs wide receiver (this excludes TE Travis Kelce who has multiple). This shows the likelihood of the Chiefs having a true vertical threat; little to none. As long as they have a plethora of solid running backs (Rookie Kareem Hunt, Charandrick West and vet CJ Spiller) paired with Travis Kelce, the offense will still be a threat.
Week One Fantasy Football is here and I have two teams that would put the fear of God in any of yours.
Hope you’re all having a good a week as I am! A couple quick points to touch upon before we start. First for those who read the post last week I touched upon the new pitch, it looks amazing! There are no updates regarding Coutinho either. The latest report was that Barca was making a final push, after assigning a final ultimatum, after giving their previously final offer. Coutinho is not practicing with his back injury so we shall see if that heals by the power of the Pope after the transfer window closes.
WE ARE BACK! Welcome everyone to another season of premier league football and for us lucky Liverpool fans the Champion’s League! We have started
