Crash Course Wrestling Column Week of 11/27/2017

Here we are, Survivor Series has come and gone with fans asking, “did it really matter?” We are now on the Road to Clash of Champions for Smackdown which is weeks away and the next “Raw Pay-Per-View” is the dual branded Royal Rumble over a month away. This could mean a lot happening on the weekly shows OR a huge holding pattern. After being a fan for over 15 years, I am afraid it may be the latter. Lets get to it.

The​ ​Historical​ ​Night​ ​For​ ​The​ ​Peruvians

On the night of November 15, 2017, New Zealand and Peru played their last, the second of two, World Cup playoff leg in Peru’s capital city, Lima. The Peruvians showcased their football skills: keeping the ball 60% of the time, not allowing a shot on goal, and constantly pressuring their opponents to give up the ball. This professional artistry has led Peru to be ranked 10th in the world(BBC). The 2-0 victory over New Zealand gives Peru’s team the last “golden ticket”, a chance to play in the World Cup competition in Russia next summer. It is the first time in 35 years that Peru will be playing on the world stage.

Crash Course Wrestling Column Week of 11/13/2017

Are you sick of hearing the line: “It is the one night a year that Raw and Smackdown go head to head in competition”? Well I have some good and bad news. Usually I would tell you the bad news first, but in this case, I will start with the good news. This Sunday is Survivor Series and it will be the last time you will hear that line. However, the bad news is, you will have to hear it for five hours straight this Sunday at Survivor Series. Please don’t drink everytime Cole says that, I like you and don’t want you to die. How did the red and blue brand get us excited for this Sunday’s duel branded show? Did Raw finally grow a pair and retaliate for Smackdown’s actions three weeks ago? Lets get to it.
